Arrival, Hotel Goldener Berg in Lech
The journey is part of the holiday goal: coming from all directions you cross stunning landscapes, the beauty of which will increase the closer you get to your holiday desintation. During winter you can leave your car at the cctv-monitored "Anger" garage in Lech and bridge the last metres of altitude up to your four star superior mountain hideaway with the cable cars to reach the 1,750 metres at which Hotel Goldener Berg is located. Take a deep breath and listen to the sound of silence - no traffic noise, no hectic life – just unspoilt nature and before you is your charming home: Hotel Goldener Berg.
Arrival by Car: Coming from Vienna
Drive on the Autobahn A12 until you reach the St. Anton exit. Change to the A road via the Arlberg Pass, until you reach the junction to Lech/Zürs on your right hand side. Alternatively, you can drive through the Arlberg Strassen Tunnel.
Arrival by Car: Coming from Zurich
Drive on the Autobahn Bregenz until you reach the Langen exit. Here you continue on the Alrberg A road via the Arlberg Pass until you reach the junction to Lech/Zürs on your left hand side. Here you turn left.
Winter: Arrival by Car at Hotel Goldener Berg in Oberlech
Once you have reached Lech, please drive directly to the Lech-Oberlech cable car (located directly beside the Post Office in Lech). Here your luggage will be taken and sent directly to the hotel.
At the cable car station you will receive your garage parking ticket for the "Anger" underground car park (Euro 13,- per day). Park your car in the underground car park - the entrance is right opposite the cable car station. On arrival you will also receive a cable car ticket. You can also retrieve your ski pass at the the lower terminus of the Lech cable car from 4pm onwards. With the cable car you will ride up to Oberlech (the cable cars run from 7am until 1am non stop). Once you have arrived in Oberlech you will see Hotel Goldener Berg straight away. It's only a further 50 metres on foot to your holiday retreat high above Lech. The Hotel Goldener Berg is connected to the Oberlech tunnel system. This means your luggage will be already waiting for you in your room once you check in!
Please note: Between Lech and Warth the roads are closed during winter. Use the train for this route.
Summer: Arrival by Car at Hotel Goldener Berg in Oberlech
When arriving during summer by car you drive right through Lech and then take a left into the street leading to Oberlech. From here you follow the signs leading you right to Hotel Goldener Berg: at the first junction of the street take a left. You will pass the tunnel system, which is used during winter for deliveries, and take a right at the next junction. Once you have arrived at the plateau you will be standing right in front of the hotel. Here you will also find the Hotel Goldener Berg parking space.
