The Goldener Berg Hotel in Oberlech is considered to be the first address for many sportsmen and women and fans of nature. The hotel’s location allows you to experience high altitude training as well as comfortable walks. Nordic Walking connects the two.

Out of the hotel and into the meadow bliss! 13 sign-posted walking paths with 54km in total are waiting for your right at the doorstep at the Goldener Berg Hotel and beyond that – cross-country on the whole Arlberg.

Enjoy Nordic Walking in Lech

Various levels and very diversified landscapes provide diverse Nordic Walking tours on the Arlberg. In total, 13 kilometres of sign-posted Nordic Walking tours are waiting for you. Our experts have compiled the most beautiful tours:

  • Easy (up to 2km): Lech Promenade
  • Moderate (up to 7km): Zuger Schleife, Weißbach Round, 2-Valley Round
  • Advanced (up to 13km): Lechufer Run, Wiesele Trail

Vita-Course Run

The Vita-Course Run is especially popular with our sportive guests. 10 different trails are all tested and certified by experts. Signs have been installed, which show you directions and the length of the trail. This way you will always know what to expect and if it suits your experience. You can also see how many kilometres you have already behind you.

On the course you will find 12 practice stages where you can stretch your limbs, followed by an ice-cold walk through the Kneipp pool. Your body will appreciate the extra indulgence!

The Goldener Berg Hotel’s host will provide you with many tips and things to know about the region during the morning Nordic Walking group tours.

Healthy work-out

Because of the quick walking with the specially designed poles the whole muscular-skeletal is worked-out. The cyclic movement leads to a diagonal between the arms and the legs. The arm, back and leg muscles are strengthened that way. The poles should be used underneath the body’s centre of gravity. Dragging one’s poles and slow walking only has one effect: None. Dynamic movements are the most important part of Nordic Walking.

It is sport-scientifically proven that every work-out is enhanced in high altitudes. This effect can definitely be seen and felt in Oberlech, which is located at 1,700 m above sea level. Only a short work-out already has a great effect on your body.
