Building snow castles at the Goldener Berg Hotel
Let’s build a castle! The white snow cover on the Arlberg invites you to various winter activities. Ski tours, skiing, tobogganing or snow show hiking, but there is one quite simple activity that is the most fun for children: building a snow castle.
Instructions for builders
In order to build a snow castle at the Goldener Berg you will need the following:
- A bunch of motivated, young helpers
- Heavy, wet snow (it’s the most solid one)
- Small and big snow shovels
- Warm clothes
First a fundament has to be digged. Then bricks are cut out with the shovels, which are then piled up to a snow wall. Don’t forget to leave a hole for the castle’s gate. It will almost take a day to build the snow castle, but the children will be eagerly working and who can say that they have their own castle?
Time for knight’s games
After a good day’s work the castle will freeze over night, which makes it more stable and safe. The next morning the snow castle at the Goldener Berg Hotel has of course be occupied. Young damsel, wizards, queens and brave knights will proudly present their construction to their parents. Everything is ready for a day of winter bliss with the whole family.
